He is currently the Chief Medical Officer of HealthGate Data Corp, a provider of collaboration technology for the healthcare industry. He also currently serves as the medical director for the Center for Healthcare Informatics at the University of Kansas and teaches medical informatics in the Schools of Medicine and Nursing at KUMC. He previously served as Vice President for Content Development at the Cerner Corporation.

His current duties include the clinical leadership of the implementation of a sophisticated EMR system across the Bon Secours inpatient and ambulatory network.
